EDITING - Sound

In today's lesson we Ami focused on finishing our sequence while Nyomi. Layla and Emma concentrated on the title sequence and sounds. We finished the order of our titles and came up with some names that we could use.
We then looked into some songs again as last week we were having difficulty finding one that would fit well with our thriller. We looked at some instrumental/karaoke versions of some up beat songs that we liked. We struggled to find versions that were not remixed but managed to find versions on iTunes. At the moment, we are set on using the instrumental version of  Calvin Harris' 'Let's go'.

This title sequence follows the conventions of a thriller opening, the actors that would appear in our film would not be well known because of our budget so we chose to have the writer appear before the actors. 

Our deadline is on Friday 8th March, by then everything has to be finished. To complete our work we need to add our titles and sounds. As well as the diegetic music, we need to create some foley sounds to add to the sequence. However, it would be easier to record these after the sequence is finished so we will be adding these on Wednesday/Thursday. Some of the sounds we will have to add include; footsteps, cars/traffic sounds, the sound of Layla picking up the carrier bags, the walking stick hitting the ground, the swans/birds in the lake and the music playing through the earphones.
